LEARN HOW SOUND BATHS CAN IMPROVE YOUR EXPERIENCES
What Is A Sound Bath?
In general, a sound bath is a meditative experience where those in attendance are “bathed” in sound waves. These waves are produced by various sources, including healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, percussion, chimes, rattles, tuning forks, and even the human voice itself. Each instrument creates a different frequency that vibrates in your body and helps guide you to a meditative and restorative state.
A sound bath is a type of music therapy and typically a way of managing anxiety, soothing the nervous system, and blocking all the ideas and thoughts out of your consciousness as you connect with your body.
Typically, a sound bath will involve lying in a reclining position after taking part in a yoga or meditation exercise. Next, a provider trained in sound bath musical techniques will use one or several instruments to create soothing, overlapping vibrations. The experience can be deeply relaxing, inducing calm and a state of well-being.
