Caramel Cookie Dough Balls with Moon Tea

This weeks tea pairing comes in the form of these delicious protein packed dough balls! Inspired by the recipe from @formnutrition they are 100% vegan, wheat, gluten + sugar free.

Did you know protein can go a long way in helping you on your period and reduce symptoms of PMS? @biddieclub recommends that you try to incorporate a small portion of lean protein with every meal - yes, even for breakfast! Also dark chocolate contains tons of magnesium which is insanely helpful when dealing with menstrual cramps. We got our fix here from @rawhalo - their chocolate is organic, vegan + made with organic coconut sugar. These dough balls make the perfect go to snack and are super easy to make. Consume with your Moon Tea for an extra menstrual health kick.

Try at home —

👉🏽for the caramel filling:
15 dates
2 tsp Form chocolate salted caramel protein powder
1 tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
Oat milk until smooth

👉🏽for the ball mixture:
6 dates
1 cup almonds (ground to make almond flour, or just use pre made)
1 cup oats (grind to make oat flour)
50g Form performance chocolate + peanut powder
4 tbsp peanut butter
Oat milk (just to stick it together if it is a bit crumbly)

1. Pop all the caramel filling ingredients in blender, add oat milk to get a smooth and sticky consistency. Likewise blitz up the ball mixture ingredients in a separate bowl.
2. Pop both in the fridge for a couple of hours to firm up, or the freezer for less time if you want.
3. To make the balls, carve a little hole in the middle, pop the caramel in and then re-close the ball (you might need a little extra ball mixture to close them.) Then melt chocolate and drizzle over the balls. Wait til they harden and then devour.
